Larry Johnson, writing about the London Police’s quick reactions at Daily Kos:
The fact that “officers courageously disabled the trigger by hand” coupled with the report of the smoke in the car leads me to believe that the mad London “bomber” tried to construct a Molotov cocktail of sorts and lit a cloth fuze. Fortunately he left the windows in the car up and there was not enough oxygen to really get the fire going. Looks like the brave British police reached in and snuffed the flame.
Hmmm. Sky News:
Sky News sources say one of the first police officers on the scene of the Haymarket car bomb may have saved dozens of lives by defusing the explosives before the bomb squad arrived. It is believed the quick-thinking cop recognised that the car was wired to blow up, jumped in and disconnected the trigger device, thought to be a mobile phone.
Johnson is apparently scheduled to be on Keith Olbermann’s program this evening. It’ll be interesting to see if he’s still talking about fuzes.

Oh, right Larry. There was no oxygen for the device, so it just fizzled out. That policeman didn’t open a window or a door to the vehicle allowing a huge rush of oxygen laden air into the vehicle. He simply made himself very very slim, and slid through the gaps in the door frame and then re-inflated himself and did the brave deed.
My god, I’m so sick of self-important “experts” who don’t know a damn thing about what they’re talking about. And I bet that retard Olberbman just laps it up like a hungry mutt at a meat market trash can.
Drivel, pure drivel.
Who is the toothless faggot who calls himself Larry C Johnson?
Can you picture him in confrontation with a committed Islamist?
“Oh please, Mr Mulsim, I’m not worthy of your sword! I’m navel lint! Would anyone important piss his underpants?
Please spare me!”
Whoever this Larry Johnson USED to be…he’s now just a dishonest panderer to the extreme moonbats.
On Olberman tonight he repeated his own bit of snark about “Yuppie car bombers with a Mercedes” — even though it had been reported for hours before his appearance that at least one of the cars had been stolen.
Also, same show, he claimed that all that gasoline inside would’ve done was “damage the interior of the Mercedes.” Hmm, Larry, you mean just like all those suicide car-bombs in Iraq made with “just” gasoline?
(Clarification of last post: obviously, not to say all suicide car-bombs in Iraq are gasoline…just the ones that are.)

Just so’s you don’t think ex-spook – who has other ex-CIA blogging with him – was the only one.
“Yuppie car bombers with a Mercedes”
Larry apparently knows less about the value of that vintage of Mercedes than he does about the construction of a car bomb. Hint: no self-respecting yuppie would be caught dead (hah!) in one of those cast-off beaters. Somewhat surprising, really, for a terrorism expert.
P.S. – Larry drives a K-car. With a flapping headliner. So everything else looks like a yuppie mobile to him.
“Judging from news reports and the portrayal of villains in our popular entertainment, Americans are bedeviled by fantasies about terrorism. They seem to believe that terrorism is the greatest threat to the United States and that it is becoming more widespread and lethal. They are likely to think that the United States is the most popular target of terrorists. And they almost certainly have the impression that extremist Islamic groups cause most terrorism.
“None of these beliefs are based in fact. … While terrorism is not vanquished, in a world where thousands of nuclear warheads are still aimed across the continents, terrorism is not the biggest security challenge confronting the United States, and it should not be portrayed that way.”

Just for the record.

Larry C. Johnson? Hmmm. A gay porn star?
Oh, “C” as in the letter “C”. Never mind.
There’s not enough air in a closed Mercedes sedan to let a cloth fuze burn down? Are these vehicles hermetically sealed? If so, why are more drivers smothered while operating them?
Or is it just more likely that Larry Johnson’s brain is impervious to facts?
Unfortunately, Johnson is an example of the kinds of low-IQ types that staff our anti-terrorism agencies and “intelligence” agencies. These are the kind of people we think are protecting us. Not!
Since when is it spelled “fuze” all the sudden? I thought it was “fuse”.
CNN was doing a piece to be aired Monday on British airport security, but was unable to get an interview with the UK Chief because of heightened alert status. Good the UK intelligence is getting extremely good on these attempts.
What is depressing is the resolute determination of the ultra-left fever-swamp intelligentsia—represented by Yves Montand wannabe Larry Johnson—- who minimize the threat with clever remarks like the attempt in the West End being a “Cadillac Escalade” with nails. How about the propane tanks, and this Scottish Glasgow caper appears to have tried to attack an airport full of people with a Range Rover packed with lethal materials. “What, me worry?”—say the Kossack sickos and Larry Johnson Deadhead slackers!
But the appeaser-minimizer left still believe that it’s all Bush’s fault and I expect that spin from tomorrow’s Pravda-on-the-Hudson.
By the way, with guys like Johnson in charge of counter terrorism, you can understand why an abomination like 9/11 occurred.
Of course, Keith Odorboy had LCJ on his comedy hour last night for one of his “special commentaries.” Tweedledumb and Tweedlestupid commune on MSNBC—-which by the way is stopping its Saturday and Sunday afternoon coverage this weekend due to the fact that NOBODY WATCHES THE FREAK SHOW PROPAGANDA COMING FROM NBC!!!
Maybe somebody should show Larry this YouTube video:

It would have been on the work of people like him that Clinton worked up a program which identified al-Qaeda leaders – not too tough when you’re training ‘em. When Fox tried to stiff him with responsibility, Big Dog let go with specifics of warnings inherited by the Decider.
