The great diplomat

While I’m not sure anyone enters the Edwards household without getting in a fight with Mrs. Edwards (and to be clear, that’s an admirable trait from where I’m standing — especially when it’s a politician at the door with his/her hat in hand), it’s particularly annoying to read about Obama’s behavior here:
But now two months [...]

Have a great weekend, y’all

I’m out until Sunday evening, headed to this fine festival. I hear Reverend Wright has canceled his tour this weekend, so I guess I won’t get a chance to take a picture with him.
I will drink many, many cheap beers in large cups for you all. Because I love you, and want you [...]

Oh, Ouch

If the Obama campaign reads blogs, they aren’t going to be very happy with Tom Maguire this morning.
Update: Jerome Armstrong missed the apology as well.

Backatcha

From an NRO editorial:
Democrats are congratulating themselves on the political cleverness of the cheap shots they are taking at Sen. John McCain over his already-famous “100 years in Iraq” comment.
What McCain said at a townhall meeting in New Hampshire in January was inarguably true. He was asked about President Bush’s comment that we could stay [...]

For thee, but not for me

Obama:
“I am looking forward to a debate with John McCain. John McCain is a good man. He’s an American hero. We honor his service to this nation. But he has made some bad choices about the company he keeps.”
(italics mine)
Obama wants voters to judge McCain based on the company he keeps…but it’s terribly bad form [...]

Ahem

Not to be foul-mouthed, but in the vernacular of my beloved Georgia, I call Bullshit on this:
Like Marty, I am still open to supporting McCain this fall, primarily because of character and decency. Hagee and Falwell should not be ignored; but nor should they be dispositive. Iraq is in a terrible, near-impenetrable flux and how [...]

Superhero movie

No need to go see the film, folks: Courtesy of YouTube, here’s the only clip worth watching:

That guy does the best Tom Cruise impersonation I’ve ever seen.

Hypocrisy? You don’t say!

Oops:
And, as Chris said, it’s a tad hypocritical for Obama to encourage delegates to change sides, since he is the one who is trying to make a big principle out of binding the superdelegates at the national convention to the will of the voter.
How many delegates were selected at the Texas caucuses? This has [...]

Yep, that’ll work

So, the new tactic among Obama supporters is outright support for Wright, rather than helping their candidate disassociate with him. The “flip your opponents the bird” approach, more or less:
Josh Marshall, linked approvingly by Sullivan:
But in the debate about Wright, which Sen. Clinton has just reignited, it seems to be spoken of now as [...]

Heh

I don’t like it when my commenters disagree with me. Consider yourselves warned!
I generally don’t get pissy on other people’s blogs unless they or a commenter has been unavoidably ignorant, posted nonsense that can not be backed up, and then…….oh, well……frankly, I could give a shit. I was just really surprised.
I guessCadillac Tightdoesn’t like [...]
