Are greatly exaggerated:
There are two general signs that a blog is heading toward extinction. The first is a declining frequency of posting, and the second is a proportional rise in the number of posts about the blog itself. These two don’t always go hand-in-hand; sometimes it’s just one or the other, sometimes you don’t get either warning sign. But when either of the two is spotted it’s reasonable to begin wondering how long that curious internet publication will continue to be updated.
It’s true that posting frequency has dropped since the primaries ended, but that’s due to a variety of factors beyond my control. I have no intention of quitting the blog, in fact, I’m trying to implement an idea that I think will vastly improve both posting frequency and quality.
In general, the article linked above is spot on. Doesn’t apply here, however — At least not at this point in time :-)
Update: Oh noes…Was that a post about the blog itself? I’m doomed!

I’ve hit a doldrums myself as to posting, 2 posts in the last 2 weeks. We also lost 2 of our groups bloggers, one moved to Boston and one has started summer classes.
Its kind of a down-time in politics anyway, nothing that happens right now means much in the big picture, so its hard to find something that moves me enough to post about.
I suspect doc’s right, and that there is probably a general dip in traffic on political sites generally just as a function of the primary (and solar) calendar. There’s probably a general exhaustion with politics right now. Just us junkies lately.
C’mon twc. Like there is anything more interesting to do in the summertime except read, write, and debate politics!
I got all wound up in a certification test over the last couple months… so while I was making an effort to post – I really got behind on my reading. LOL. I wonder when someone will propose the 48 hour day (and how long after that before it’s full too)
