Between this and the Jawa Report…

I’m just about inclined to bar any further posts or comments regarding Sarah Palin on the blog. Seriously, take a look.

Then review this.

Cadillac Tight isn’t an astroturfing playground for any candidate or advocacy group. Fair warning: Any posts or comments that regurgitate material from the Daily Kos or Democratic Underground*, or any other liberal blog I suspect of participating in this sort of smear campaign are going to be deleted. End of discussion.

A little respect, please. Joe Biden has been treated fairly here since his selection, and I expect the same going forward from Obama supporters. Take the advice of the most successful Democratic president in forty years:

“Why say, ever, anything bad about a person? Why don’t we like them and celebrate them and be happy for her elevation to the ticket? And just say that she was a good choice for him and we disagree with them?” said Clinton, who faced repeated charges during the primary season he was overly negative toward Obama on the campaign trail.

Or discard it because you think he’s a racist. In that case, however, you’re wasting your time with every keypress here, because it’s going to be deleted as soon as I catch it.

Update: And who’s to say the Right went nuts over media bias? Check out what the lefties are up to these days, and join me in saying to them: “Now you know how it feels, ladies and gentlemen.”

* These are the two blogs clearly implicated in the Axelrod astroturfing campaign. If others become implicated, they’ll automatically be added to the list.

  1. Lot of anger here Joe,
First I’ll say I’m not inclined to believe 70% (number off the top of my head) of the things I head about Sarah Palin, and to be honest, I don’t really care that much. To me, she’s kind of this comical allegory to a disaster of a presidential pick. I post humorous things about her from time to time, and I think there are some things that are more than fair game, such as the trooper bit, but really, i agree with Clinton. She’s a joke of a pick and there’s no point in letting the joke get stale by continually retelling it.

As for the Jawa report – I haven’t seen any legitimate reporters giving this much credit. Ambinder does a rundown of the failures in Jawa’s argument, you can read them here:

Finally, I’m an on and off reader of The Field, Giordano was an early campaign manager for John Edwards and it was interesting to read his political analysis for a while. Lately, he’s been obnoxious, he was the one who “broke” the Palin tanning bed story and other irrelevant trite media one-liners, however, he’s still in my RSS feed and i still check out his headlines from time to time. However, the story you linked fails to mention that Fournier was nearly hired by the McCain campaign, so it is fair to bring up the issue of bias.

So your outrage, Joe, I think is a bit unmerited.

  2. edit, “I hear about Palin”, it’s still early here.

  3. No no no. The media’s not in the tank for Obama!

    *sigh*

  4. That’s more bad reporting i think than it is unfair.

I’d also not be suprised to find most americans really don’t know why the hell we still embargo cuba.

  5. I think the FEC needs to do some serious reflection on its Internet laws. There are some big-time loopholes that are subject to exploitation.
