About the Weblog
Cadillac Tight was started in May of 2005 by Joe Tobacco. In the summer of 2008, Joe decided that his job and family were probably more important than hacking away at a keyboard in the basement, so he invited The Red Pill and twc to join the blog as co-authors. The loose premise of the site is a conservative author (Red), a center left author (Joe), and a liberal author (twc) discussing politics and policy.
About Joe Tobacco
Average Tobacco Chewing Joe (Joe Tobacco) writes about national politics, his beloved home state of Georgia, and military matters, pretty much in that order of precedence. A former Army Reserve officer, Software Engineer, and Database Administrator, Joe (currently in his twentieth year in the software business) now works as a Program Manager for a software firm.
Joe’s picture ought to be next to the entry for “Blue Dog Democrat” in the dictionary. After a long spell (1984 – 2004) voting for Republican presidential candidates, he left the Republican party after burning slowly for several years over various matters. John McCain’s “comprehensive immigration reform”, and the accusations McCain supporters Lindsey Graham and Jon Kyl flung at opponents of the bill were the last straws.

About The Red Pill
As in the film The Matrix, The Red Pill is intended to open people’s eyes to the real world around them, regardless of how difficult the truth might be for them to accept.
The Red Pill enjoys writing about national politics and history, as well as experimenting with economics. After suffering a massive heart attack in 2002, Red has been an untraditional college student and is currently majoring in European History and minoring in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies at a Southern California university. He strives to eventually become a college History professor and author of history-related books for young readers.
